Garden centers and plant nurseries sell annuals, perennials, shrubs, trees, vegetables and houseplants, along with soil, mulch, fertilizer, pots and tools. Independent nurseries often grow part of their own stock and carry varieties that do well in the local climate, while big-box garden departments compete on price for common plants. Wholesale nurseries and growers sell to landscapers and sometimes to the public at volume prices; tree nurseries sell balled-and-burlapped and container trees and can deliver and plant large specimens. Specialty growers focus on bonsai, cactus and succulents, orchids or native plants, and hydroponics stores sell lights, nutrients and systems for growing indoors.

Scottsdale is in Arizona, in the Southwest, where the desert climate brings very hot summers, mild sunny winters and the summer monsoon; outdoor businesses shift their hours toward early mornings and evenings in the hottest months. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Scottsdale follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

There's always something to see here. I loved the creativity of the staff avec it comes to disparities merchandise. I shop for plants, and there's always a variety of selections. Checkout is a breeze. Accessible parking and entrance.

I had gone to this location because I wanted an A frame trellis. The online site said this location had 22 in stock. When I arrived the 1st man in the garden center to help me was not helpful and was very condescending. I showed him the picture and that they were in stock. He immediately assumed I had pulled up the wrong store and told me to go to the other Scottsdale location. I kept looking and checked with another man named Jeff in the Garden Center and showed him the same picture and that the product was located in Garden Center 3. He immediately took me to the front outside which is part of section 3 and there was what I needed. HUGE THANKS to Jeff for going the extra mile and saving me a trip to a store that did not have them in stock!!

Generally I prefer Lowe’s to Home Depot, however, this Lowe’s has blatantly poor customer service. Aside from their primary listing on maps being altered to a patch of desert bushes off Scottsdale rd several blocks away, causing 10 min ten minutes to discover the correct location; I asked f 3 separate customers associates a simple question to receive the same unenthusiastic reply: “I don’t know”. Actually, one gentleman did relay some enthusiasm in his altered response “I have no idea”!” Nobody attempted to give any insight or attempt to investigate my question related to purchasing some of their merchandise. Very odd for a Lowe’s retail location, however, I’ll justly stick with their competitor moving forward as they have displayed superior custer service. Also, the primary listing with the wrong address isn’t accepting reviews, after reading them, no wonder why!
